Hiya! Welcome to my page. Feel free to take a look at my galleries, I have them sorted by topic and by media :)
Everything is currently closed (comms, trades, requests, collabs, etc.) until further notice.
I'm an avid multimedia fantasy artist and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I draw/paint/sculpt/create many things, including dragons, creatures of my own make, and existing legends.
For me, art has always been about the journey. I love exploring, experimenting, messing up, and dealing with those mistakes; for when you force yourself to accept and work with your mistakes, you learn faster. That's why, as a child, I always preferred drawing in pen to pencil, and that on lined paper. It freed me from the need to make "the perfect line" or "the perfect drawing." It helped me learn to use my imperfect lines, even terrible ones, to be more creative and free with the final product.
That same pursuit of freedom and creativity has always driven me to try new things--I get bored if bogged down in one medium or method of creation for too long. Thus, over the years, I've gone from one medium to another, until I have acquired an extensive list of things I've tried. I have now tried a wide variety of processes, as listed below (in no particular order):
- acrylic and watercolor painting
- eraser shaving art :D
- pen, pencil, charcoal drawing
- string art
- papier mache
- ceramic sculpture
- linoleum printmaking
- paper clip sculpture--my own method!
- multimedia sculpture (wire, glass, seashells, paper clips, ribbon, string, fake gems)
- digital media
- film and digital photography
- scratch boards
- riso printing (involves printing with a special soy-based ink)
- performance art
- sound art
- ... does gardening count? Because I've been doing a lot of that lately XD
Hmm yes Krogor is more likely to respect a veteran soldier than a politician... just be careful to choose someone who has absolutely no feelings of being superior to anyone, and who has never tried to enslave anyone or abuse their power. Krogor is a huge advocate for freedom and if Earth misrepresents itself as a tyrannical planet, he'd obliterate it without a second thought. Though, Earth might not have much of a chance. In an alternate universe, Earth was the capitol of an intergalactic human empire, to which Krogor was a slave for most of his life.
See, the problem is that whatever we humans could make would be too small for Krogor in that size to read. If it were big enough, he'd probably laugh and, depending on his mood, either decide to humor the request (and leave Earth alone) or tease us by getting super close to eating the planet and blast it with his hot breath, which would probably be enough to throw off all the ecosystems anyway
I think labeling our planet "handle with care" is a great idea!
Ohhh I'm so glad you like her! I was trying to make something beautiful and unique, but not overly complicated, because I know the feeling of looking at super crazy adopts and going "uhh that's awesome, but I'll never be able to draw that," and it's a sad feeling. Man, even some of the characters I have designed for myself are complicated enough they make me sweat when I try to draw them! I didn't want that for you. I'm so happy that I was able to make you something you love, and am so excited to see what you do with her!! (and I'm a sucker for purple as well, it's just such a pretty color... XD)
