Yesterday I made the decision to buy Loveplus+ after I saw it at the used bookstore with Shino. Shino says outright, "DON'T BUY THAT SHIT," but she says that all the time so I will ignore her. The only problem was that I also had been telling msyelf to ignore the game, what with it being a girlfriend simulator and having a somewhat negative stigma in the States (particularly when a Japanese guy straight up married the game). That being said, I thought I should still try it since it's a very prolific game within the otaku community, and I've heard only good things about it by those who have actually played it.

I'm still in Japan as I said, and just a few days ago I finally got my Japanese passport! The people at city hall were really nice and helpful. They hardly asked any questions because my grandma was with me the whole time to help out. It was a two month process but I have in my hands a the real thing!
