Symbols - The Creator Deities

Symbols for each of the deistic beings known as the Creators, otherwise just simply referred to as the gods. Unlike the older symbols I did a few years back, I decided to just make the symbols for the Creators, and not for the Lesser Deities. At some point I hope to get some proper writing done for each of these Creators, but for now their descriptions are mostly limited to my notes.

First of all, your content is sick.  Truly, figuratively, in a good way, sick.  My god.  I mean, some of it seems a little derivative from D&D, but what isn't after nearly five decades of content.  It's like when a TV show does something the Simpsons did 20 years ago.  Kind of inevitable, and it takes serious talent and hardwork to pull it off in a positive amazing way, which you do.  Please don't take that as a negative, because it's all still very deeply inspirational, as far as world-building goes.  The imagery is so lively, and your cityscapes are nothing short of astounding.  Coming from someone who is very critical of fantasy art and content in general, please, whatever my opinion is worth to you, know that it is extremely high.  I have only sampled some of it, very excited to spend the next 3 hours deep-diving into your work here and at originworlds.com

Keep up the stellar work, I beg of you!

Thanks! I don't take any offense, all work is more or less derivative of another. It's always been my opinion that it is how you put it together and how you present it that is more important than whether it is original or not.

Unfortunately a lot of what's written on my website is out of date and I haven't updated the site in general for a long time now. I'm just waiting for a day when I have enough time and motivation to fix it all, but personally I find writing is usually more tiresome than drawing.

Can I use one of these in my show? As like a little Easter egg ;)

I Love seeing other people also doing world-building, I've spent so much time with my pantheon. I'm busy with defining races and cultures now, which means adding new deities and deity names for individual beliefs.

Yes, I imagine this is where it would become quite tricky, especially if you intend to uniquely adapt your deities to several races/cultures. I'm doing a similar thing, but for the most part the deities' names and identities have stayed the same across most of my races/cultures.

The further I go the more I realise how in-depth you can go. Just based on individual races' having different languages, there is already a reason for deities to have different names, especially if it's a more distant deity who doesn't directly interact with its followers.

Wow, these symbols are amazing. Even without any kind of writing, I can just look at the symbols and get a sense of who the god is! Both in terms of their domain/profile, and in terms of personality.

Thanks! Having the notes on each of the deities helped me quite a lot to get an idea of how their symbols should look like, so I'm glad to hear that the symbols at least give a decent sense of what they represent in their assigned deities.
