At first glance, the city seemed unchanged. It was still the same sprawl of noise and smog and lights it had been for decades, but underneath something had changed subtly. Maybe it was the increased police presence, or perhaps the presence of other law enforcement officials, men and women who wore black uniforms with the rising sun of Decker Corp emblazoned above the left breast.
Billboards scattered throughout the city announced Decker Corp as bringing "New Hope to New Prospect", displaying images of Decker Security officers, smiling citizens, and other shining examples of false advertising.
An electronic news feed on the side of a bank scrolled the daily headlines, flashing brief tales of gang violence against the impressive skyline, dominated by the massive building housing Decker Corporation's headquarters.
At its heart, however, the city was the same as it had always been; loud, dirty, vital, alive. Every bright corner, every dark alley, every busy street still hummed with the sam
