About the Setting

Sybal Heim is a city of immortals. Those who enter are cured of disease and given the gift of eternal life. There's just one catch; once a person passes through the Traveler's Woods, they are never again allowed to leave.

Stranger still is that, when the sun sets, the citizens of Sybal Heim become monsters. The Sybal, it is said, reflects the power of the innermost soul, and is unique to every individual. The rhythms of day and night are just a part of life, a small price to pay for the gift of eternity. The Organizer does his best to make sure his people are happy. But as the population of the City has grown, so has a murky sense of discontent...

I love the art on this: the back-to-back characters, Pyotr's clear sideglance towards marron- and the lighting on the matchmaker's match, how it draws the focus but bring light to everything else!
It's beautiful!
