This is a very, very, very long overdue gift for a friend. This was actually my Secret Santa present for the awesome ~indecision-designs for 2010... which means that this is 1 year and 9 months overdue. :/ I did take 1-year hiatus from manipping in 2011, but... still very very overdue. :/ This is her character, Cursum, a buckskin mustang stallion (I think). I used the ref made by glitch (*ManicMelvin) that I still have saved in my files but I don't see it in her gallery.

I'm not sure if Inde even still roleplays Cursum but I have her Facebook so I can still give it to her. :P

I had a LOT of trouble with this. This manip was actually why I even went on a hiatus - because I drew and redrew the mane and tail completely 3 times, spending about 2 hours on each attempt. At that point, I gave up. This horse is REALLY hard to manip, but since I've taken a yearlong break and also gotten a little better, I was finally able to tackle it.

I spent maybe 10-ish hours before my hiatus on this but scrapped all the hair so that all I had was the horse prep.
I was in the mood to manip yesterday and today, so I spent yesterday 12-4 AM on this and today 12-6 PM (well, I had an hour in the middle where I wasn't working on it), meaning that I've worked on this for about 8-9 hours. The last few hours were spent on details... I had to redo some stuff a bunch of times :/

I don't like the mane. I don't think it can get much better, though. I did redo the tail once yesterday and I really like the tail now. :) I like the highlights on the mane and the shape of the tail. Do you see Cursum's red highlights (lowlights?) on his tail? :)

Thanks goes to Diz (~Moral-Imbecile) for helping me with redoing the hair once and for the eye currently on Cursum. :D I can't do eyes. :/

Thanks for viewing, commenting, and/or :+fav:ing! :D

edit;; 09/23/12 - spent like another...4 hours? (whoa :o) for the following changes:
- make horse proportionate to grass
- bring out more colors in hair
- redid shadow
- changed effect and location of text/title
- other minor changes I can't remember

What's that make the total hours now? Anywhere from 15 - 24 hours. Holy crap. o.o

Quick question, Is Inde pronounced "indy"?
My daughter's name is Endii (Indy), well, her full name is Endiigo( Indigo) but we call her "Indy".

This art is VERY beautiful, the color schemes add so much emotion and so much detail was put into this piece! Your work is very beautiful!

I personally pronounce it "IN-dee" as it's short for Indecisive, but I'd probably have to ask her if that's how it's pronounced. But I'm pretty sure it is that way. :P

And awww, thank you so much!
