Superbar 1.0.2 by Leonick Superbar 1.0.2 by Leonick
This rainmeter skin is old. It was made years ago and hasn't been updated much since. It probably still works but it might be a bit clunky compared to more recent skin suites.
Maybe Superbar will see an update at some point but I currently have no plans for one.

-- Description --
SuperBar 1.0 is finally here! With an extra .2 added all for you sake. :)
If you haven't already done so please download the newest version of Rainmeter, 1.3, from before you install this suite, you will not be able to install it on older versions.

With SuperBar you have everything you need I one neat, nice looking, minimalistic and easily customizable bar at the top of you screen.

The bar comes in several colors and all items can be moved around and put where you like them.

Includes the following bar items:
App Launcher
RSS feed reader
Media Player Controllers for iTunes, Winamp and WMP
System Monitor(Cpu & Ram)
Network Monitor
Wifi monitor
Battery Monitor

-- Instructions --

-- FAQ --
Q. Will you please add a foobar controller?
A. No. Just use the foobar plugin in foo_winamp_spam found here… and you can control it with the winamp controller.

Q. Will you create a reader for Hotmail or Yahoo.
A. No, I would if it was possible but there doesn't seem to be a way.

Q. Will you do a more advanced and good looking notes skin?
A. Well, maybe... feel free to give me a good reason why a more advanced one is needed :)

-- Tips & Tricks --
-Customized the SuperBar by clicking the gear on the right side of the bar.
-Customized DropDowns for Items such as Apps, Gmail and Facebook by opening the DropDown (Click the Item on the bar) and click the gear in the bottom right corner of the DropDown
-Some Items has special actions when their icon is right or middle clicked, for example, right-clicking the Media Controllers will open the player for that control and a middle click will cycle trough the controllers (iTunes, Winamp, WMP), this also applies to the clock which will switch between 24h and 12h format.
-Some Items display more info in a tooltip if you hover the mouse over their icon, for example the media controllers will show song info and the battery monitor will give more detailed information.
-Click the battery monitors icon to get access windows power plans
-Click the wifi monitor to open the network and sharing center

I ran into so many problems with installing this program that  I am not touching any program from this site.  (Unless someone can show me a program that does take a programs skill to work) I could take a lot of space with the installation stuff i went was terrible...but I'm tired from cleaning up the mess.  Why such a crude  program using crude formats.  I guess it harder and time consuming to write a workable interface.  There is a trade off...the average user is not going to use this program...that cuts down on your audience.  And if the program is self contained but need one or more other programs to make the too complex...too time consuming and too error pron.
Leonick Featured By Owner Dec 2, 2013
Well, this isn't a program, it is a skin, or rather a suite of skins for Rainmeter (which is why it's in the Rainmeter category).
I'd agree that configuring it is a bit crude but back when I made it that was simply the best way to do it, it could be done better now but I haven't updated it in quite a while.

Really like the bar. Is there any way to make it pop up when you move the mouse all the way to the top of the screen? Thanks.
primalplan Featured By Owner May 21, 2012
Even how much i try, i can't get it to work :(

Hur mycket jag än försöker, så funkar det inte :(
Leonick Featured By Owner May 22, 2012
Vad händer? Något specifikt fel som uppstår?
Har inte testat själv med de senaste versionerna av Rainmeter men borde fortfarande funka.
primalplan Featured By Owner May 23, 2012

Leonick Featured By Owner May 24, 2012

any support for people who don't use shitty resource-hogging-itunes?
Leonick Featured By Owner Nov 8, 2011
There already is support for WMP, Winamp and Foobar (check the FAQ).

Foobar should be great for anyone who only want something that plays music and prefer their RAM to be free and wasted rather than being used by something ;)
gmvolk Featured By Owner Oct 2, 2011
Really like this skin. I made a few tweaks to the battery monitor. The battery low and critical never show up on my laptop. Changed the battery icon into a bar meter and added new icon to show if the ac was plugged in or not. I have used this to replace the windows taskbar, using a different program to display tray icons and such. Excellent work, looking forward to see what else you do with it. Thanks!
Leonick Featured By Owner Oct 4, 2011
Glad you like it. :) Also like hearing that you could mod it to fit you better, that's what makes rainmeter so great!

Sorry to say it though, I made this quite a while ago and I'm personally not using Rainmeter any more so I likely won't be updating this or make any new Rainmeter skins for quite some time, if ever.
gmvolk Featured By Owner Oct 26, 2011
Would you mind if I uploaded some of my changes to DA. I would certainly credit you for doing all the hard work! Thanks again.
Leonick Featured By Owner Nov 8, 2011
Sure, go ahead, as long as you give proper credits(to me and anyone else whos work is used, check my credits, there are some assets done by others) and link back to SuperBar.
Also, as the license states ([link]) you have to release using the same (or very similar) license.

Oh, and make sure to send me a note with a link to whatever you upload :)

OK i got the WMP working but still having a few problems.. like the settings for websites wont open up.
Leonick Featured By Owner Jul 14, 2011
Glad to hear you got WMP working.

Supertweet seem to have stopped working they way it used to and thus makes it impossible for Rainmeter to work with Twitter in any easy way :/
Poiru is working on a Twitter plugin for Rainmeter, when he gets that done I might implement it.

As for websites, well I figured that wasn't really an all to useful component, most people have their browser running all the time with bookmarks ready, if not they just use it, having website launchers on the desktop just seemed pointless. As such the websites item was never completed, some basic files where left in the folders though which is what you have found :p
freak69ize Featured By Owner Jul 5, 2011  Hobbyist Artist
Ok im having a couple problems here.. 1st off.. how do you get the WMP plugin to work with superbar.. and 2nd off.. every time i try to sign into Supertweet with my Twitter account.. it takes me to a page that wants me to fill out information about the app im using.
meinguz Featured By Owner May 28, 2011
This is the best skin for Rainmeter!!
But I have a small glitch: when set to "DesktopWorkArea", all the icons for some reason, are displaced by 6 pixels down. With nothing to hold on, even if they are put in place a mouse or write to the configuration file.
Leonick Featured By Owner May 31, 2011
Hmm, didnt quite get that, sorry.
What exactly are you saying is the problem, could you show maybe? Screenshot?
Might be able to take a look at it.
meinguz Featured By Owner May 28, 2011
figured out, removing the "Keep on screen":)
meinguz Featured By Owner May 28, 2011
sorry, "Snap to Edges" :)
P.S: &^@#*, what is wrong with me today? :)

brilliant work;) Would it be possible instead integrate GMail, Thunderbird also?
Leonick Featured By Owner May 23, 2011
GMail is integrated.
As for Thunderbird, well, I am not sure, but almost that it's simply not possible with rainmeter.
The reason we can use GMail is because the let you access a RSS Feed of your inbox.
DoppeltesRisiko Featured By Owner May 23, 2011
Ahh did not know that Gmail is working on RSS. Ok that explains a lot.

Hmm, quick question: any known bugs with the gmail thingy? Mine wont show any mails, i press the settings button, and set my username / password ... and refresh. But nothing happens? Help really appreciated, it's an epic skin! well done mate (y)
Leonick Featured By Owner Feb 17, 2011
Hmm no, not any that I know of.
Just tried, I set my username and password and it worked.

What version of rainmter are you using?
fessor1 Featured By Owner Feb 18, 2011
Got it working now, dunno why though? Rebooted, and everything worked flawless.
- So thanx dude, really good work with this skin!
Leonick Featured By Owner Feb 18, 2011
Glad to hear it works, and that you like the skin.
st40611 Featured By Owner Jan 10, 2011
I am using DesktopCoral to attempt to make it so that maximized windows won't overlap the bar, but for some reason the icons bump down slightly when I dock desktopCoral ... do you happen to know any other applications that will work with this Rainmeter skin?
Leonick Featured By Owner Jan 11, 2011
Well for one you could do it with rainmeter, have to write it manually in the settings file though, it's in the manual.
As far as I remember though that keept bumping stuff a few pixels down on my screen too, and not only superbar, all kinds of rainmeter configs, might have something to do with windows and how it handles the workspace.

You could always as over on the rainmeter forums or the irc [link]
Someone is bound to have wanted to do the same thing and should know how it all works
yukimura12 Featured By Owner Dec 20, 2010
it's a great skin really...
your websites shortcut didn't work can u fix it:???:
Leonick Featured By Owner Dec 27, 2010
It doesnt work because it's not done and probably never will be :p

It's something I fiddled around with back before 1.0 but in the end i thought it was pretty pointless no one would use the desktop to launch websites, most people always have their browser running and would use their bookmarks, that was my reasoning at least.

Simply forgot the files in there ^^
z632922970z Featured By Owner Nov 15, 2010
Well, the problem suddenly solved after I tried to download the skin with another web explorer. So thanks for the fantastic job!
Leonick Featured By Owner Nov 15, 2010

z632922970z Featured By Owner Nov 13, 2010
Help!!It occurred an error when I try to install this rainmeter shin in ver 1.4 beta which said that Rainstaller.cfg not found, so what can I do to solve it?
Leonick Featured By Owner Nov 14, 2010
Hmm are you using 32bit or 64bit?
I just installed 1.4 64bit to try and it gave me no problem at all. Try downloading the rmskin file again
z632922970z Featured By Owner Nov 14, 2010
I trid several times(I also trid the 0.92 verson), it still came up the same error. By the way, my os is Windows 7 32bit with Rainmeter 1.4 beta rev590 (32bit).
