Psycho Krieg - Borderlands 2
'' 2K15 HAS COME AND IT'S TIME FOR NEW COSPLAYS!!! ''
... And actually this year's list is kind of long!
I will go back in my hometown Rome next week on 7th January and I will take my Axel Cosplay, finish the last details on the chakrams and present my FIRST 2015 Cosplay with a Photoshooting for you! I am choosing between a studio photoshooting or a Rome location outdoor photoshooting. You will see, but it will be something made by heart for sure!
Got it memorized?
Vision: Spot on. Absolutely wonderful! Completely encompass the theme of Borderlands 2 not only with your costume but also your stance. You look like you were meant to play Krieg. He's buff, rough, and tough. He inspires fear but also a level of pity for the man he used to be.
Originality: I have not seen anyone else with a Krieg costume who was able to get the mask AND saw blade to look authentic to the game. This one takes the cake. I would really love to know how you made your costume and constructed the mask. Looks like getting the paint job and "wear and tear" features on the weapon would be difficult.
Technique: One of the things I appreciate the most about your costume is the level of detail that went into making it look like you were coming out of the game world. Nailing the comic book style is not easy with the way they do the lines especially on skin. But again, I think you nailed this one! Love the detail. I can tell that you put a lot of time and effort in.
Impact: Blew me out of the water. One of the best Borderland's costumes I've ever seen. If you have a Maya to go with your Krieg, it would be complete. Thank you for your dedication to this awesome project.
I saw this picture on my facebook page and instantly felt I had to share it. Having just finished playing Borderlands 2 myself, I am aware of this character and I felt you did an extremely impressive job bringing this meat-bicycle-riding psycho to life. The body paint perfectly captures the classic borderlands feel, and makes you want to believe the character jumped right out of the screen. The setting and lighting are not exactly as Borderlands-y as they could be, but they certainly help lend an aura of mystique and intrigue around the character.
I haven't seen too many Borderlands cosplays, but of those that I have seen yours definitely sticks out as one of the best. There are some "inaccuracies", such as the blades of the buzz axe, which are actually significantly smaller (in the videoclip, although I've noticed the artwork has them the way you made them).
In conclusion your work here had a great impact on me and I was really impressed with the overall quality of the final result.
For the lights I agree and I'm happy you've noticed it!
All the best!
This is a very unique way of cosplaying Kraigg. The lines of the body and the overall look is brilliant to say the least.
I love how you were able to capture the essence of the game into this cosplay and make it into a beautiful reality.
The clothing is fantastically done well and brings out the character even further with hard lines and expressive colors to show the mood of the character nicely.
Considering the look of the weapon, it's well made with the game style in mind the entire time with great accent colors to show it off wonderfully! Great work!
OK, I'm gonna try to see what I can think from this one. Very impressive from the likes of what I saw.
Vision - Well, it's still Borderlands so I guess it seems it makes sense that this is gonna be a good cosplay.
Originality - Since the success of the Borderlands Series, I think that you nailed this one. Most original since this is Borderlands.
Technique - I felt how you perfectly did this one. although I haven't tried Borderlands.
Impact: So what I learned from this work is that it gives a sense that brings the true Borderlands back to its' roots.
So overall, I think that was one of your best works yet. I hope that my criticism is helpful to you and some hopes that you gonna cosplay soon. For me, either choices are the best options. So thanks!
