Foam Weapons by leon-fenrir Foam Weapons by leon-fenrir
Well, it's not a new drawing, but it's something just as good. Both swords (a rapier and a katana with a d-guard) took a good 8 1/2 hours to create. PVC pipe, pipe insulation, and a helluva lotta duct tape XD. Well the bell-guard on the rapeir took a plunger head, a piece of wood and some gorilla glue. But it was worth it (Especially working to some of the finest symphonic metal ever.)

And the bow is the Nerf Big Bad Bow (which i'm trying to convert into a crossbow).

1.) By all means knock yourself out. Show me how it turns out when you're done.

2.) going based off the katana (the rapier was the same with some differences)you'll need:
*a 3 1/2 ft piece (7 ft if you make two of the same length) of WHITE PVC 1/2 inch in diameter for the core.

*2 pieces of pipe insulation; one has to be 1 in in diameter, the other size can be whatever you see fit.

*for the knuckle guard; clear poly tubing, polythene tubing in 1/4 and 5/16", high pressure hose in 1/2 and 5/8" all in diameter. Lenghtwise: preferably 1-1 1/2 feet.

*The rapier's bell guard is a plain plunger head.

*Gorilla Glue and a piece of wood that can fit SNUGGLY through the PVC hilt in the bell guard**

*a helluva lot of duct tape and/or elecric tape.

With all the measurements, a little extra is always bliss incase of error.

**-The bell-guard was the hardest part. You'll have to glue the piece off wood to the cup of the plunger. The wood must be thick enough to where the PVC you use for the hilt will fasten snuggly. If it's not then glue around the base of the stick and apply the hilt then tape it up.

If you have any other questions lemme know.

Good luck :salute:

Ahh I see, pretty good. Foam weapons are always fun XD

turning the nerf bow into a crossbow would be cool, but I bet it'll be hard.

It is. I can use Gorilla glue, I just need smaller clamps ^^;

yeah too bad the surfaces on the sides suck. It just ended up in one big mess. So I took a nail to a lighter, punched holes on the gun and the bow-arch....things! (damn thee Noah Webster DAMN THEE!!) and screwed them together. Worked great.
