Smilodons: Leave me alone!! by Leogon Smilodons: Leave me alone!! by Leogon
A couple of smilodons (Smilodon fatalis) during the courtship process in mating season.Usually, such encounters among big cats turns to be somehow harsh. But don't worry....:-)
The two cats are created separately by PS CS6 and then mixed with the background which is a collage of several scenes.
I hope you like it and don't forget to help me by your critiques.:-)

Feline "love" is rough, stumbled across a video on YouTube and it was just painful for her... and sense of what one calls depraved entertainment.

I always wonder how they tolerate each other during the mating!!

It usually just "wham-bang, thank you ma'am" and hostile again. Cats are not usually very social, have had plenty of pet ones over the years and they have varied greatly... though they ALWAYS keep the dog in check!

Once had a guy open the jaws of a skull cast of one of these too show how far it opened and what could fit!

Not that it'll have worked that way, I'd have killed it by chocking it.

Chocking is not fun but yeah, neither is "death by big cat".

Great stuff! If I may ask, do you take your own background photos or are they stock images?

She-cats are fierce little scrappers. I had a semi-feral cat as a pet once, and she had two kittens, a little orange tabby male and a calico female. The little male was a saucy tub-of-lard who would catch little critters, maim them, and then come to me with a helpless expression of "what now?" His sister was much more skittish around me, but she was a huntress to the core, a living terror on the local wildlife.

It's no wonder why the lionesses do the hunting.I think a tigress is much more threatening than a tiger, specially when the have their cubs around.

Feline courtship is always an harsh and aggressive event,no matter the species, and I know I have observed my house engaging in it.
