This image was captured one morning on the Maumee River. The fog was beginning to vanish as the sun peeked out from behind the treeline to the East when a couple of fishermen emerged from the forest. With their waders on and their fishing rods in hand they walked into the shallows and began casting. In those moments the sun created a very dreamlike appearance with its light. The men were in silhouette, and their fishing line was made visible from the sunlight. No way was this an opportunity to pass up.

This is awesome work, LensandPencil! I love how the fog and the light just blend into one another, and especially during golden hour! Did you plan this shot, or were you just at the right place at the right time?

Thank you for the kind words. This photograph was captured in the right place at the right time. Down by the river here some people like to take the cobblestone when the river is low enough and build towers with them. I planned on photographing one of these only to find the top half had collapsed. I explored the island and when I got back to the southern tip of it saw fishermen on the opposite shoreline, and that's when I had the chance to capture this photograph.

Thank you for telling me about that group. I'll go check it out.
