To my current watchers and anyone stumbling upon this journal.
The thing that kick started this whole journal..... I've tried eclipse a couple of times now and I just can't seem to find myself enjoying it as much, that's not to say once it rolls out it wouldn't improve and I will become familiar with it? But at this present time I can't help but feel deviantart will not be the same anymore with all the huge artists leaving and how all my galleries are messed up on it.
I started to look at other options to put my art portfolio but after asking myself this question two and half times I thought......I'm no where near good enough to be called a great artist. I've only started art the same age as my deiviantart art account (5 months at the time of writing). There's so much to learn and improve on!
At this moment of time I see no need to go to other more professional platforms until I'm more confident in my skills.
My future on DA
I really can't seem to like eclipse but that doesn't mean I wish to throw away this account I worked so hard on. Also, deviantart makes a great place to just upload all your pictures and then 'forget' about it.
I really would like a place where all my drawings are kept in on place online off my hard drive. To be able to see my journey at ease. Which is why I will be using deviantart as more of a dump pad for my drawings now rather than using it as a portfolio. If you've been a watcher from the start and now, you'll have realised the increased amount of drawings on my OC's and 'sketches' as I've begun to care less about building a portfolio and more on improving.
I will be exploring more styles as I try to find mine and I hope you'll stay or join me on this journey.
My journey as an artist
Originally I was going to write a long detailed journal but I think I might save that for another journal once I'm more experienced and actually have a decent journey to share. As for now I would like to state:
I FINALLY GOT PEN PRESSURE AND STABILISER TO WORK
There has been frustrating times, spending hours and hours on the most basic of drawings, using the pen tool to do line art and continuously changing the brush size and erasing it to draw things like eyebrows.
So...I would like to showcase my first ever digital drawing! Nothing was traditional about this drawing compared to my previous ones as I used to use the pen tool over photos of my sketch. I hope this piece of art can show everyone what I'm capable as an artist and how far I've come within five months. I can't wait to see what another five months will bring and I hope you'll join me in this journey!
They say in order to become 'successful' , you should be only drawing one niche subject so people can identify you with, but until I'm better at drawing in general, I will be filling my art account with more humans, anthros and MLPs. Scattered? perhaps, but then again I am a scatter brain and want to be good all round.
