It ain’t over, I say, and that fills me with DETERMINATION.

If you agree, fav this, repost it, spread the idea around.

For best effect please read while listening to His Theme

Now on Tumblr: leinglo.tumblr.com/post/131229…
Please reblog to give it more exposure.
Also on the Undertale forum, where the back and forth discussion has been getting quite interesting:
forum.starmen.net/forum/RadDog…

[IMPORTANT EDIT] For those that aren't aware yet, Toby Fox made a Twitter announcement couple of weeks back that makes it clear that he has no intention of making any story updates to Undertale, not in the foreseeable future at any rate. Papyrus's Tears  Maybe someday he'll return to tie up loose ends, but in the meantime if you want to find a happy ending for Asriel you'll have to look at fan works.

There's two in particular I'd like to respectfully direct you to:
Dreemurr-Reborn and One by One. And before you make a "egh, fanfiction, I dun want no part of that!" response (understandable, as that was my initial reaction as well), these two are very very good fanfiction, and are more or less universally acclaimed on the Undertale forum where most of the Asriel discussion was taking place.

One By One

No one is idiotic enough to think that condemning an innocent to eternal suffering of any kind would be an acceptable, desirable, or realistic ending at all, and no one other than a terrible person would be willing to do such a thing.  Toby clearly isn't a terrible person therefore he clearly doesn't think that that's what happened to Asriel, Chara, or Gaster in the end.  He wouldn't have put all those themes of changing history and defying fate through Determination alone if he did.  That's what makes the ending beautiful is that it is a Happy Ending on the surface as themselves for those three once you realize the themes of the game and the implications placed in it.  That makes it far more valuable and beautiful than either face value logic or showing it happening.  It inspires creativity to imagine how they went about achieving this Happy Ending and allows you to reflect on how beautiful and perfect the story and themes in this game are.  The world ALWAYS looks out for its people and rights the wrongs of the past so that everyone who is good has a Happy Ending someday.  That's how the real world works through The Father and Son and is how all worlds (fictional or otherwise) work and is what Frisk is implied to be there for (The Angel of Salvation in the Prophecy meant to correct the mistakes and right the wrongs of the past by Saving Asriel, Chara, and Gaster from their seemingly hopeless fates and teaching them the true way of the world (Love, forgiveness, absolute salvation, restoration, absolution, and True Happy Endings.)

Anyone who thinks that Undertale is a "game about consequences", or that Asriel and Chara deserve to have a horrible fate befall them for their actions because of said consequences, or that the game's ending ever was meant to be interpreted as final and thus tragic regardless of its overt themes of undoing tragedies and saving people from their seemingly hopeless fate, has no idea what they're talking about.  First of all, if it was a game about consequences then you wouldn't be able to force Frisk (And Chara) to do all of the horrible things you can make them do in the game and then just Reset and get away with having done it (As long as you don't force Chara to kill Asriel then you can undo all the damage you've done and without any consequence to you or the characters.)  Secondly if them having died made them unsavable then the same would be true for any of the characters you force Frisk and Chara to kill in Genocide, but you can Reset and bring them back to life and give them the life the on the surface they deserve, so that clearly isn't the case as there's nothing keeping Asriel, Chara, and Gaster from having that Happy Ending on the Surface as well.

Print 100 copies of this and glue all of them to Toby's house.

I don’t mean to play Devil's advocate, but wouldn’t saving Asriel be kind of hypocritical? The game treats you like the absolute scum of the Earth for committing Genocide, which he already did several times. Your happy ending is tainted forever because of your killing spree. It’s only fair that his would be, too.

The difference, however, is that if the player is an evil Omnicidal Maniac, it's for one reason and one reason only: they chose to be, they go out of their way to be, and consciously refused every given opportunity to turn from that path. Asriel turned out the way he did, not because he chose it, not because he's a bad person, but because circumstances beyond his control left him emotionally dead, physically deformed, and while Asriel did do horrible things, it was long after his condition left him completely insane and transformed into a personality so far removed from his old self that Flowey is literally not the same person.

The problem of saving Asriel, is that we will lose to flowey ... How to replace it?

Technically the determination injected flower still would exist just without Asriel's esincce and personality!

Just imagine Asriel appearing when you open the game after the pacifist route, and it tells you something like "Do you give me back my true form, just to transform me in a flower again? I thought we were friends!"

If he stays as flowey, it is more natural, and everything makes more sense ... Asriel would not lend himself to reset ... but flowey yes.

Technically isn't him turning back into Flowey canon.

He is a flower during his conversation with Chara duringthe epilogue.

If you want a truely happy ending, you need to save Chara as well, and while your at it, why not Gaster, or even the 6 other fallen humans.

Finally someone who actually wants to save both Dremurr children. It seems like so many just want to save Asriel and forget Chara ever existed. or worse fight Chara for Asriel's soul or something like that! I say we need to save both Dremurrs for their to be a perfect ending.

Thank you !

Your welcome and you are right and if undertale teach me something this thing is there is  not bad person without reason flowey was a demon in first and now we known that he was just a misunderstood little kid, and now we don't known what happend to chara but seem something bad like how asriel say she wasn't best person but not the worst soo we really need to save BOTH  Dremurrs .
again your welcome
