Chinese Kitchen God

This was another attempt to do something in the tradition of Chinese New Year. I was reading about symbols and such and found a description of this fellow as quoted from "The Kitchen God's Wife" by Amy Tan. I thought maybe I could draw something based off the desc and here it is.

The desc was basically, big foreboding man in regal dress holding a tablet and quill. I'm far from happy with the quill but the rest is good enough for me till I think of something better.
