HuntFreak Returns!I know I've already posted about this, so please forgive the spam, but I'm back with another new project. Well, not strictly a new project; long-time visitors of this account will remember that a while back, I opened up a YouTube account called 'HuntFreak!' - but removed it shortly after, because I was doing other things. Well, I'm back in the saddle now, coming at ya like Cleopatra with HuntFreak! 2.0! It's a set of two channels (YouTube and Vimeo) that aim to feature all that's hot in the world of the 'monster hunting' game genre; hunt videos, product reviews, editorial/commentary/analysis, and all the jazz from games like Monster Hunter, Toukiden, and Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. If it involves hunting colossal creatures, I'm totally there; I'm seriously nerdy, and have a lot of time on my hands, so you can expect quite a few updates.
If this sounds like your sort of thing, I'd love to have you as a subscriber to either (or both
The Gerudo Era, part 16She was ready.
Her lord had demanded her to be swift, precise and downright brutal in her retaliation as Twinrova was moving as fast as she could with her warband. Moblins and Stalfos were following her, two highly mobile forces that could ride along with her as she floated, moving toward their target: Lon Lon Ranch. An explosion had resonated within a considerable distance from the castle, the smoke a signal that an act of treacherous rebellion was afoot, one that Ganondorf had to kill in its infancy, if only to send a clear message.
You do not mess with the rightful ruler of Hyrule. Not now. Not ever.
It took close to no time for her and her forces to get nearby as she could see a contingent of Zoras and some Gorons, a bizarre gathering to say the least. What caught her interest, though, were two oddities amongst them: a Gerudo youngster and an Hylian that she knew very well. It seemed that Ganondorf had correctly recognized the source of this turmoil as Link, the Hero of Time, was a
The Gerudo Era, part 15Working was all that he could do to distract himself.
As Link hammered away at the rocks with his Megaton Hammer to break debris into boulders fit to build a massive wall around the remnants of Kakariko Village, his thoughts drifted to three main subjects. One was the well-being of his lover, Fiora. Was she alright? What would Twinrova and Ganondorf do to her? And what about the child growing in her womb? What would they do with that? It left poor Link in worry, the aching in his muscles never quite pushing away those endless questions and dark thoughts, no matter how much he tried.
Even though the hammer went on to break many rocks, its sounds couldn't push away other worries, with the second big one being about those he had loved and lost. With the exceptions of Ganondorf, Twinrova, and Nabooru, the entire Gerudo race could be considered his family. Every Gerudo was either his wife or his daughter in a way, and during the few attacks that occurred, he had lost a lot of them. While he
The Gerudo Era, part 14The smell of burning webs and spider carcass was filling the village.
It hadn't been a particularly rough battle, nor one to drain their ressources too much. With plenty of Gerudo warriors going into teams of three, armed with spears and scimitars, the very large arachnid that had plagued the whole place were either killed, or they simply fled as the forces occupying the area did not have the time or the opportunity to properly give chase. Twinrova's army were amassing outside and, as such, there was no time to do that as time was of the essence. With the villagers finally freed from the catacombs below the graveyard, a safe yet macabre hiding place, everyone could return to their home as they participated in the cleaning of the place who would, for the moment, turn into the home base of the resistance. With everything that had just happened and all the fighting that kept on piling on, the stress and duress that everyone had to suffer through only accumulated as the task up ahead kept
