So I woke up sick yesterday morning and have been since. Don't you just hate colds? And not being able to breathe through your nose when you're eating?

Anyways, since I have the sniffles, now seems like as good a time as ever to do a feature blog! When the cold coops you up in the house for two days, do a weekly feature!

And if anyone knows how I can add image links to my own work so I can do a little shameless self-promotion piece in my features, that'd be greatly appreciated!

On with the feature! And remember: if you like what you see, don't tell me, tell the artists!

Hide In Darkness No man shows greater love, then when a man lays down his life for his beloved

Fear.

It is funny how fear makes every little detail so very prominent. It makes the heart beat faster and increases ones senses. Before fear takes hold one can never truly understand why blood is described with a copper stench, one cannot understand the feeling of true regret and one cannot comprehend the impending doom known as Death.

Two families best of friends. Mothers finding each other in the maternity ward, fathers playing golf together on the weekends, children growing together sharing secrets, building cubby houses and never once betr

Two Sides of MeI stand my ground (wanting to run)
I withstand the pain (wanting a gun)

I smile and laugh (wanting to cry)
I live my life (wanting to die)

You see me happy (though its all just an act)
About sorrow I say im joking (though its secretly fact)

I say im not hungry (my thoughts only on food)
My words are polite (my thoughts frequently rude)

I say I don't need friends (longing for someone to talk to)
I say nothings wrong (longing to learn why I said id make do)

I say I'm numb (wanting a reason to feel)
I say that I'm fine (wanting to find how to heal)

Wild NatureIn hate, I know no limits.
I'm not afraid to feel...
My heart might burn to ashes;
But I shall still reveal...

I'll pour out my emotions,
Not noticing the world...
I'll find the one I'm seeking
Through rain and storms and cold.

I'll always have his image
Imprinted in my mind.
And let the blazing feeling
Be my decisive guide...

Its just my wild nature,
Which I don't wish to tame.
That's how I am in hate.
In love, I am the same.
Heartless GuardPart I

She was his queen, he was her guard.
Eyes cold like stone; face marble-hard.
And every day, he played his part:
A being of strength without the heart.

The queen, in turn, embraced her role:
With quiet grace, held firm control.
From day to day, the duty called,
And maintained order in her world.

She ruled the lives, all proud and strong;
Decisions made were never wrong.
With conflicts settled, peace in court,
She earned respect and great support.

And all this time, he stood nearby,
Just close enough to hear her sigh.
And to unveil the hidden sorrow,
In darkened night and sunlit morrow.

Queen's trusted guard,
