Bulbasaur crochet by Leafquill Bulbasaur crochet by Leafquill
Eeeeeee, I finally finished him, my wee little Bulbasaur! He was actually my very first crochet project, ever--yes, I learned to crochet by making myself a Bulbasaur plush. :love: I didn't sew on his eyes or finish his bulb decals until today, so I hadn't yet uploaded pics of him.

He's pretty lumpy and weird because I was (still am, actually) bad at sewing the different components together. I ended up sewing his ears on super-crooked, so he's just a little derptastic. XD Adds character? Maybe?

I tried to give his eyes a black outline with thread while I sewed them on and...was not terribly successful. Ah well.

I used the pattern by the lovely :iconaphid777:. Her work is fab, check it out! She even has the other two Kanto starters plus Pikachu, for a matching set. :D I may consider crocheting the rest of them too... Her Bulbasaur and pattern were actually a daily deviation a few days ago, so congrats to her!

All work done by me

Thank you! If I don't get lazy maybe I just will. :la:

But after all, I did have a pattern for it. I wanted to make it as soon as I saw it, so I made my sister teach me the stitches and how to read the pattern. :D It would be if I didn't use a pattern to make my first crochet project that I'd be a real protege. ;P

Haha better start than me!  First 3-D thing I ever made was an apple.. and I was so incredibly proud of that apple.. :XD:  Months later, I realized that I was crocheting everything inside-out.. ^^;

:giggle: Luckily for me, I had my sister to tell me if I was doing stuff right. Plus, your pattern was very clear and easy for me to follow.
