Every Sunday we give you a stock image - what you do with that is up to you! We accept any visual art media that either reference or manipulate the image - this does include photography, though obviously sometimes you have to work a little harder!
You have a week to submit your entries and then a three day poll will be made and the communit

The Camera Only Does So Much
I can’t tell you how many times someone’s said to me, “Nice photo! I need to know what camera you use!” or “Your photos are wonderful! You must have a great camera.”
The camera only does so much.
Normally, I try to reply to these comments without showing how irked I am that they’re giving the camera, and not me, the credit for what they see as a good photo.
Like I said, the camera only does so much.
Literally, all that the camera’s in charge of is the image quality. That’s it.
The camera doesn’t tell me where to stand and then decide the best angle to take the photo from. It doesn’t decide how much I should zoom in. And since I shoot in raw, which is a fully manual setting, it doesn’t decide the correct amount of contrast, the correct level of brightness, the right temperature of for the photo, the perfect tones for the photo, how much vibrancy is necessary, what the extent of the luminosity should be, the right hue of

I don't know if you remember me but we talked at Emerald Con a couple weeks back. I had mentioned a children's book I was working on and you told me about this great self publishing class. I went and checked out the website and it looks very interesting. Enjoyed talking with you at the show. How did the rest of the con go for you? Hope you and your son had a great time. Oh, and thanks for putting my Batman vs. Superman drawing in your favorites. Take care.
