This is something I just finished for the action packed comic Razorkid Written by Marcus Almand or :icontherazorkid: here on DeviantArt!

I really enjoyed working on this because when Marcus told me what he wanted for the cover I realized immediately that it was something I'd die to draw. So obviously I enjoyed working on it. I've never drawn a rain scene either so it was extra challenging. How can you say no to drawing superpowers like that? Plus Frostbite is an awesome character.

Thanks a lot, I really put a lot of effort into the rain and ice, I wanted them to look like what they are, so I'm glad you like them.

Thanks so much!
As I'm sure you've heard, there's been a little bit of turmoil over at Tokyopop, but hopefully it should be out sometime in the Fall of this year.

Very epic feel to this- the fisheye distortion gives it a lot of motion and energy. A big whooooosh upwards. Great details with the rain and background too :)

If you hand-made the rain, that must have taken hours to do, drop by drop.... :o

But that shows how detailed and careful you are about your art, something I have always admired, hehehe ^_______^

Teach me how to draw toes someday, lol

hehe yeah it was hand done, but I just kind of made lots of lines in adobe and added a slight blur effects and layers. Oh plus splashes of white that I scanned in on another layer. I tried to do it it with effects only- but it came out cheesy. Its better to do them one raindrop at a time!

And toes are a lot easier then hands! :dance:

At first, that's why I chose a hooved creature to be my character, but that also become a nightmare to draw his feet, lol xD;;;

Well, I should take all your advices and "making of" tips next time I try this kind of effect... it's great to learn from the top ones! :worship:

Amazing :)

You must have worked on this work of art forever there is so much detail in it! The steam coming off his hand, to even the small ripple effects you placed in the water.

<3s and runs off to read the comic

yeah I worked on it way longer then I usually do. But it's a comic book cover, so it needs the most love and attention that I could give. I just stopped because frankly I ran out of things to add to it.
