The first thing I thought when I saw this was "Zombies Ate My Neighbors"; the squirtgun, the tomatoes, the kids. . . It may not be the reason you intended, but I really love this piece. So many good memories.
Good reference – I had to Google that!
This is very very cool 
Also, it makes me happy that, unlike more or less every other non-romcom book cover or movie poster ever, the female lead is given just a little bit more prominence than the male.
