A train journey is another world

This is the Jacobite steam train which runs from Fort William to Mallaig in the Scottish Highlands. It is one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world passing through stunning scenery. Here it is crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct. You may well recognise this scene as this is the location used in the Harry Potter film. I was lucky enough to take this journey during my week here and I loved every minute of it.

“My heart is warm with the friends I make,
And better friends I'll not be knowing,
Yet there isn't a train I wouldn't take,
No matter where it's going.”
― Edna St. Vincent MillayThe Selected Poetry

A truly beautiful view! I’m determined to visit the U.K. and see these sights myself one day.

By the way, what class is the Locomotive pulling this train?

I understand it is a Stanier Black Five but I'm no train expert.

I imagine so.  I have a thing about trains even though I have only ridden on one, one time.

Yes, I read your description. :)
Well, that wasn't a factor to me to like that picture, bridge/viaduct and scenery though but I understand that it increased its popularity.
