My Bio
My name is Lavinia Knight and I live in Wellington New Zealand
I’m a part time teacher, part time artist, full time parent, insomniac, introvert and home body.
I work in a couple of different styles; both realism, and cartoon-like illustrations.
I would describe my illustration style as cute, creepy and a wee it bit twisted. The images tend to have a child like tone, with bright colours and cartoon like qualities. And while their over all purpose is simply about having fun and making people laugh, I also find the process very therapeutic.
For a long time I preferred to work exclusively by hand (despite having a bachelor in computer graphic design). Recently however, I’ve also been working digitally. I love to combine the two mediums and I find digital illustration especially useful when designing when designing work for print.
