A little introduction:
Winter is the coldest and darkest season of the year in temperate and polar climates.
Winter is associated with Christmas because Christmas was placed in December to help convert pagans who were worshipping the winter solstice. The whole goal was to overwrite their holiday with a Christian holiday. And look how well that worked. Hardly anyone celebrates the winter solstice, but nearly all of Western civilization celebrates Christmas.

An Odd Week
Hey everyone, welcome to LeGrandzilla's Journal, Saturday addition. It has been an odd week, due to my mom's funeral and my daughter's grandmother in law's funeral, I am behind on posts and there is not much to share this week about my projects. So I decided to post this today, because Sunday will be pretty busy, and I have time now.
Mom's funeral was very nice. My overall feeling about everything was gratitude. My mom lived just shy by less than two weeks, 96 years! Not many people get to have their mom as long as I have, so I am very blessed. I thought of my friend who had me draw a portrait of her mother years ago. Laura did not really remember her mother much because she was so young when she lost her. She had a blurry photo for me to use as reference, I did my best and I think God helped me so He could bless Laura with this from 2016:
A lot of good things happened, especially the day of the funeral. A lot of good conversations and reunions. Also, I took some flowers
