I'm not sure what you're asking.

Is it possible to create shortcut for returning to previous subtool group or subtool? Like when you use eraser or other tool and after want to go back to brush to continue drawing, but you have to cycle through all subtool groups to find your brush. That is a problem if you have many brushes and want to organize them.

Well the simplest way to do that might be to change the order of the sub tools in the group. Just click and drag the sub-tool so that the tool of that type you most use appears at the top of the list. For example I have a number of selection sub-tools all using "M", like rectangle, ellipse, lasso and polyline. But rectangle just happens to be first on the list, so it's selected first.

That's pretty cool workaround. Thanks, ill use it for now. However its not perfect. Any other ideas?

How can i change order of cycling subtools in tools (shortcut settings)? I found out that by recreating subtool program puts it in bottom of cycling list. Dragging just changes place on tool palette but not actual cycling order.

What version are you using? On CSP 1.6.2 - which I currently use - if I change the order of the subtools in a tool group, the first subtool with the same shortcut on the list is chosen on the first use of the shortcut. Then it will cycle to the next subtool in that tool group with the same shortcut. If there is no next subtool then it will cycle to the first listed subtool with the same shortcut in another group. And if there is none, then it will cycle back to the first sub tool chosen.  If you select a different subtool (either one with a different shortcut, or NO shortcut) then it resets the cycle.

Using 1.6.2 also, but UI workspace profile was created in early MS5. Maybe it has something to do with that, idk.

OK, try moving the original subtool to after the new one.

Question:
I use Manga Studio 5 EX. Is there a keyboard key to be able to draw straight horizontal and or straight vertical lines? And is there a keyboard key to draw straight diagonal lines?

To draw a straight line, just press [SHIFT] while you draw. This also works on the eraser. If you want to draw only horizal or vertical lines, add a ruler and press [SHIFT] after starting over the guide.

When I press the Spacebar to enable the Hand tool temporarily, you can then press Control to activate the Zoom In function.  You are supposed to also be able to push the Alt key and use the Zoom Out tool.  This does not work, however.  Any ideas why?

and what did you do with the mouse?

Nothing.  I figured this out.  There was some specific setting in the zoom tool that made this error happen.  I hit the Reset Tool button to Default Settings and this worked once more.  Thanks for the concern! =)
