Chambord Fog - either because of the weather, or because you have had too much liqueur
Mmmmm either way it's beautiful Do you work mainly from photographs L? In that same vein, do they have to be photos you have taken or do you go out and grab inspiring shots to paint as well?
I usually work from photos, either my own or from others. I always think I do a better job if I have visited the place I am painting but unfortunately I can't travel all the time! I have to be totally comfortable when I paint so I am not sure how I would feel about painting outside/ in public. I ought to try it sometime!
Right there with you on the "social" element to plein air. I've been trying to work with my studio doors open lately which invites some attention but not so brutal that I can't get anything done either. I have a garage on a fairly busy street tho. It is a great way to introduce some random people to my work without having to attend an event per se. That's one of my favorite elements to it. Totally know what you mean about having visited a place just to capture that place's energy in your work. You do an excellent job regardless
That sounds like a good idea! I think I could handle it if I was in my space and people were visiting me working as I would still technically be in my comfort zone. That is a good way to get your work 'out there' I am still failing that public test, I am online all the way Oh well, one day....when we do a show together
Great piece Miss H, has the fog dulled your signature vibrant colours? or is it because it's Monday? ♥
I wondered why I didn't really like this painting (apart from the fact it is pink) I need some vibrancy in there! Let's blame the fog all the way or having to help my friend strip wallpaper, I was obviously too tired to be bright afterwards
