I learned about it during my course, and it's also fairly related to the two polls I've done, so I needed to share it !
Flow is a state of mind, close to ecstasy, that creative people reach when they are at their best, when they find the right balance between skills and challenges. It's truly important for artist to know how it is for them I think, so I let you with the specialist in this domain : Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi.
It's a TED video (quality here), so there is a good subtitles system too, for kind of every language
If you like the psychological approach of art and creativity in general, or had/have some motivation issues, check the vid, especially the diagrams at the end. Still it's a rather quick overview of the principle so the most interesting might be his book, that I will definitively buy and read myself.
So... Amazon, my friend : Flow - The psychology of Optimal Experience !
- Is this psycho approach important to you ? Not really ?
- Have you already read books or watch vids about same kind of subject ? Interesting stuff to share ?
- Have you any "Psycho Guru" ?
And so on...
- Listening to: Chet Faker
Thanks for refering to Maslow, I don't know him as well and will look at it !
I suppose you highly recommend the book Flow then ?
