Okay, one question: Did anybody recognice that the pope canīt controll all of his priests and that he - even as cardinal - supported the clearing up of the pedophilia scandals in the church?

And to give him an evil appearence because of his eyes is really shabby...

You have a pointy beard and curled moustache?

Yes. Before I had a nearly full beard, then only a moustache and then I saw the portrait of Cardinal Richelieu at the National Gallery in London www.oilpaintingonline.com/html… and thought: "Better style!"

Ah yes, the triple portrait. Most of that mans portraits were done by the artist as that one is. If you want to read a good book about him, read "Eminence- Cardinal Richelieu and the rise of France. The Three Musketeers is not very accurate.

There should be a picture that puts this pope to the robes of the evil emperor from Star Wars. Their faces are so much alike.

Actually, in Islam, Muslims aren't allowed to draw or portray prophets at all, which is probably why they mostly complain...Just stating a fact ^^

still, drawing important people (not to me...I'm orthodox) in such a way gives christians as much credit to do it Muhammad. Although I have to say that I do believe the popes have been corrupted throughout the centuries. But still, my point stands...

The Catholic church is only the most Lawfully Evil organization in the world that's all. It has nothing to do with the fact that the current Pope is a "former" Nazi or the fact that he always has an evil look on his wrinkly-ass face.

Okay lets look at the facts. He was conscripted into the Hitler youth that is true, as membership was required for boys age 14 and older after december 1939. He was however an unenthusiastic member and refused to attend meetings. He was then "drafted" into the german army, the key word being "drafted" which means the government made him join. However as the allied front drew closer, he deserted. So what you have to realize is, he did not join on his own free will, he was forced. He is not a Nazi

drafted yes but him being a nazi struck a nerve in me, maybe its that old stereotype

but still ever since he protected those clergymen accused of pedophilia instead of letting them be handled by the law was the final straw

That's not true. I don't care what Church or God say (because I don't believe either one), I'm not going to kill because regardless it is immoral. Join the atheist side. You will no longer be held back by religious superstitions, or by what your local church or The Vatican say. Plus you will do good things, not for fear of retribution upon death, but because it feels good and is the right thing to do. :iconbuddyjesus:

Caught on to that, did you? ;D And the true emperor is the Pope, he rules over the Vatican like one. The only human allowed to be infallible on Earth. My ass he is. Also, he just happens to look like a certain character from a certain movies and makes jokes about it far too easy then they should be. :P

Yes, we in Germany know Star Wars. And we also know Star Trek ;-)
But what I donīt understand is how some people can flip out because of an old man in an mini-state who the most people in the world donīt take serious.
"The only human allowed to be infallible on Earth." You donīt know so much humans, do you?

O yes, nearly forgotten: Nice greetings to Your Holyness, your ass.

According to the Church the Pope is Infallible, because he is God's voice on Earth. And my ass welcomes your praise, it is more deserved there then towards the Church. :)

no what im saying is religion is based on superstition and that the clergy play on that superstition to keep every body in line originaly to unite the human race but the church is still populated by men, men who also feel the the sin of greed.

im not too religous yet im catholic but i think im agnostic, i feel more comfortable of logic and a guiding hand so a little assurance and a little hope, atheism to me is a little eextreme

Well, use your brain like the icon says. Look at everything we've discovered in the universe and read the Bible, really read it and then ask if the Catholic god exists. From this view I can understand the idea of deism (the idea that there is a god but it does not care about what we do with our lives or if we worship it), but continuing to believe in the god/s of any religion is just kinda crazy. No offense, but that's just how I feel.

none taken, logic and reason is the fuel for progress but religon is the glue that keeps us together, individuality is what makes as unique but the different views that conflict with the other will cause progress to stop, the church should be more of a advisor instead of one who is taking direct control that is the cause for slow progress

The church is a front for Satanism, after the Second World War they found under many destroyed churches basements with satanic altars, pedophilia is the least they commit. Just look how many gargoyles and demons are sculpted in old churches and so many nudes, it makes no sense.
