Story written by Shadoritos

Taffy sighed as he stared up at the patterned ceiling of his room, yet again, unable to sleep. It wasn't that it was uncomfortable, It had anything anyone could have wanted. It was spacious; laid out with a king sized bed, fully stocked personal bar, a bathroom with a jacuzzi, and a tv wide enough Taffy had at first mistaken it for a window. But for all its glamour it was lonely, as lonely as the ship he used to live in, maybe, even more lonely than the streets. Even with the fact that he was constantly around others he felt alone. Mostly because the only other being he actually knew was Drac, who just bossed him around.
It had crossed Taffy's mind more than once to try and slip into Dallas's room in the night, but every time his nerves stopped him. Quickly he’d push away the thought each time it came to mind and fabricating some excuse. Resolved in his decision to stay in his room, the grem pulled the sheets back over his head determined to fall asleep.
Hours passed, and Taffy was still as sleepless a ever with the digital clock blinking mockingly at him. He grumbled giving into his loneliness, kicking his sheets off and peeking out the door into the main area of the penthouse. Taking a breath to steel himself, he picked his way across his room as quickly as he dared, being careful not to wake Drac as he did. It didn't take the little grem long to reach the door to Dallas's room. Glancing back one last time and calming himself with a sigh, he slowly, quietly pushed the door open, slipping in and closing it just as quietly.
The room was dark save for some scarce light beaming in from a crack in the curtains. It was just enough for Taffy to be able to see into the massive room. He considered for a moment letting Dallas know of his presence but a nervous lump in his throat cut off his words as crept quietly towards the bed.
It was only once he reached the side and had his hands on the sheets did he realize his mistake.
"Don't move." Dallas hissed in a voice Taffy only heard when the other grems patience reached its end. Dallas growled, squinting slightly as his eyes adjusted to the dark room. With the hammer on the gun uncocking with a click.
Taffy froze, only managing a soft squeak as he stared at the grem in front of him. The silence hung in the room for a moment before Taffy regained some sense of himself and attempted to scramble away, Dallas catching his arm before he got more than a few steps away.
The smaller grem quickly turned pushing away from Dallas in a panic but instead found himself pulled into the bed, the grems other hand wrapping around his shoulders
"Taff calm down." His tone calm now still holding Taffy against his his chest as the other grem thrashed to get away his claws dangerously close to Dallas's eyes.
"Taffy!" Dallas snapped, startling Taffy enough to stop him from struggling for a brief moment.
"Taff, you're okay." Dallas said, turning Taffy's head so he was looking at him and not staring wide eyed at the gun that had been dropped on the sheets beside them.
"You... You almost shot me" he whimpered staring up at him tears welling up in his eyes.
"I'm sorry." Dallas's grip on Taffy grew tighter as he pulled the smaller grem closer to him, Taffy’s fearfull sobbing filling the quiet room
