Hi Guy Once I've finishing painting I usually duplicate the final layer and add a Gaussian Blur. Then I erase the areas I want to keep in focus like the facial details and hands. Flatten everything again and add a light Sharpen filter. The amount of blur varies for each piece and the effect I am looking for.
