Time For A Change?

Mon Jul 17, 2017, 4:40 PM
Hey folks, hope all is well. That the summer(or Winter for those in the southern hemisphere) is treating you well. I am considering changing my name here to LarryKingUndead which is what I use on Twitter and other places. Figured I'd do it within the next week, considering my Core Membership is going to run out. I don't see a reason to pay $50 for a service that maybe delivers $5 worth of value.

Just wanted to let you folks know.

Stepping Out for a few Days

Thu Jul 28, 2016, 1:24 PM
After the "Little Lady" wraps I will be away for a few days but I should return. See y'all on the other side.

New Story Soon

Sat Jul 2, 2016, 6:16 PM
Hey folks, yeah I know, long time no story. Or so it seems. Well a new story is starting soon. Followed by more stories. Fingers crossed. Hope you enjoy them. Have a great summer. Don't be a stranger.

Time Is Flying and freaking Llamas

Tue Apr 26, 2016, 3:57 AM
Hey folks, hope you all are doing well. Sorry for the lack of stories, been building up to some comics, wanted to get a buffer, but I hope to release a new story soon, since I recently finished one, so keep your eyes peeled.

You ever get a Llama, go to the persons page to check out their stuff, but see something like this:

"Please, do not thank me for a llama badge in any way. Don't comment or send a note. Just send me a llama back. I will delete any thank you comments."

I go from wanting to know more, to wishing to just throwing the llama back at this person on principle.

Well until next time folks.

Feb. 3rd, 2016

Tue Feb 2, 2016, 9:01 PM
Hey folks, hope you all are well. I was thinking of posting a story I did last year. It's "based on true events" or as close to them as I could and wanted to get, but just unsure of when I should do it. I guess I'll post it soon.

In other thoughts, I was thinking of critiques and do they matter. If they are like, oh hey you didn't add a tail to the word balloon, that's fine, though I get grumpy because I screwed up. But as far as asking others what they think of what I'm doing, page layouts, designs, seeking approval from people that aren't me, it's pointless.

I know others feel that it's a tool to better your art with, to grow, but I don't want to grow. To me growing implies eventual death. You can strive to improve but that journey doesn't compare to just being. Like a force of nature. Winds don't die. Not in the way a tree does. The wind goes quiet, returns for a breeze, or a gust that can knock the trees down. I'd rather be the wind. Something that just is. Instead of thinking of what I could be.

Well take care, and see you in the funny pages.

Tick of the Clock

Sun Dec 13, 2015, 11:53 AM
So been a while since I wrote a journal. A lot has happened. Looks like the series of collaborations with :icondalgoda7: will be seeing the translation into the physical medium in the not too distant future. Which is amazing. Just think, it all started with this from June of 2011.

LONELY HEARTS No.7 - COVER by LarryKingUndead

Also as a early Christmas gift there's a story called "Slipspace" starting, well now. It's by :iconantonio-rocha: and myself. He gave me the direction "sci-fi/horror" and we made it happen. I did some thumbnails and he went wild. This story is great. So stay tuned.

If I don't post a journal before Christmas and the New Years, you all have a great one!

New Stuff

Tue Jul 28, 2015, 4:15 PM
Hey folks. Well I'm working on four new comic stories right now. Going to post a new story soon, just trying to get my ducks in a row.

Wanted to share the last "Black Planet" story that Antonio-Rocha and I did. We are working on the next story right now.

In a good way, after getting back from seeing Mad Max: Fury Road(it was amazing) I was happily surprised with the first page of another King/Kohler joint, and boy oh boy Chris doesn't disappoint.

We've done romance, war, sci-fi, western, and pirate stories in the past, now, we take on crime. Does it pay? Only one way to find out, check out the first page, here:

Schmience Fiction Double Feature

Sat Mar 14, 2015, 4:11 AM
Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy y'all! Been a long time since I did a new journal, it was before "Heartbreaker" started and it's like the Juggernaut and Ivan Drago, it can't be stopped, unless it's by a short guy either named Logan and Rocky. But while "Heartbreaker" is entering it's twilight something good will be starting after it. But that's a crappy tease you may be thinking, well how about this one. Set to run in tandem(well until "Heartbreaker" finishes, I'm too lazy to figure out to logistics right now) with the release of "Heartbreaker" is a new story, short one, in color that will come out every Monday and Friday until it's done. This new story starts Monday so keep your eyes peeled.

And here's some great art that I thought I'd share.

Hit a Few Bumps

Sun Nov 9, 2014, 6:20 PM
Hey folks, hit a bump in the road. The next story that I am working on which was supposed to be done now, isn't. It's been getting bigger, and bigger, and doesn't seem like it's going to stop anytime soon. Since I've been spending so much energy on this story I don't have much to spare for other stuff so there may be a drought as far as content. So hang in there with me, I will see what I can do to fill the void.

New Story and The Future

Sun Oct 19, 2014, 7:48 AM
Hey there, well a new story starts tomorrow(Monday, October 20th) and I just realized it has a girl in a hoodie and plaid skirt, this isn't the same character over and over. Promise. Just apparently a common thread amongst characters I illustrate it seems.

There's a story I'm working on, one of my mini-epics that I haven't done in a long time. Along the lines of Plan Z, World War BC, etc. I do like how this one is shaping up, I just have to keep on working at the pacing, and what have you. But hopefully it will be ready to go before too long.

Other than that, all's well.

Sheila Lives!

Fri Oct 3, 2014, 4:41 PM
Hey everyone, a new story starts Monday and it's called "Bag of Bones" I'm really proud of it. Also on the news front is this amazing cosplay I commissioned from the delightful :icondouzocosplay:

Way too cool. I'm riding high up on Cloud 9.

Have yourself a great weekend y'all. See you soon.

Change of Pace

Wed Sep 17, 2014, 3:15 PM
How's everyone? Good I hope, but if not, hope it gets better. I was thinking, should I change my name here on DA. I'm not sure. I don't think it really matters fully, but I was thinking about it. Just don't know if I should.

In other fronts, after " R E S T " wraps up I don't have much else to put out. I have been working on a few things, some fruitful, some not. It's the nature of the beast.

So, whatever does pop up in your queues. Though I've heard a few rumblings that the queues are acting up. Not to mention the new tagging system where you have to manually input the tags, no more copying pasting, well that stinks. Well, take care. Have a good one.

Jibber Jabber

Sun Aug 10, 2014, 5:59 AM
Hey, well there's a new 4 page comic coming out this week, and I should have enough content for you all for a little while now, hope you enjoy it.

Well I surpassed 100,000 page views, so that's cool, I was tempted to do something special for it, I just didn't know what to do. Also kind of glad I didn't do any pandering to get to those views, like doing pin-ups or draw "what's hot now".

So I'll keep trying if you keep trying.

COMMISSIONS and more...

Tue Jul 1, 2014, 6:10 AM
So as the title reads I will be doing commissions, not sure if I will get any takers, but what the hell. It'll be digital art only.

Here are the details:

* I will draw almost anything, if you note me with your request, and it's not something I will do, I will tell you. So feel free to go wild.

* $5 for a single figure, black and white art; $5 for each additional figure also in black and white(more than 4 and we may have an issue).

* $10 for a single figure, full color art. $5 for each additional figure also in color(more than 4 and we may have an issue).

* Paypal payments will only be accepted.

If you're interested in a commission send a note, and we will take it from there.

Now for a moment of silliness thanks to :iconf22starstorm:

Dear F22Starstorm ,
I don't really know how to tell you this, but I dislike your eyelashes. I think I realized it When your dog humped my leg At the mental hospital and I saw you Carve your initials into My father. I'm sure you're High enough to understand That your driving sucks. I'm returning Our matching snoopy underwear to you, but I'll keep The results of that blood-sample as a memory. You should also know that I Hate your cooking and I love Oprah.
Please don't hurt me,

Though I am such a super curmudgeon, but I was caught at a good time. Haha.

Sun Jun 29, 2014, 8:56 AM
The next story that is going up tomorrow could bother some that don't care for stories that have a sexual nature, though I followed DA's rules, so hope it's to more enjoyment than scorn.

On other fronts, comic work is going well, I think I have some stuff you will like down the line. Enjoy!

There be Monsters

Tue Jun 17, 2014, 2:19 PM
Hey, so I'm kicking around a few ideas for a horror comic that's got monsters in it, I think I have something that should be fun. Might try to bring in a bit of psychological horror too, but that's if it works out.

Hope all is well out there, more stories to premier after NUMB wraps, may you enjoy them.

Sun May 18, 2014, 7:38 PM
Well like silent films I tried my hand at silent comics, well save for a tad bit of SFX it's got no words of dialog. Is it cheating? Yes. But it's also a fun experiment.

Other than that, things are as well as could be. Podcast's going great, and comics are being made. Life is being lived, and what more could you ask for?

New Stuff

Sat May 10, 2014, 3:47 PM
Hey, well there will be new stories on the way. I figured I'd slowdown the output here so I could work on other stories, and they have been turning out well. Hopefully sooner, rather than later you will all see the fruits of my labors. I'm looking forward to seeing Godzilla next week, pretty sure it's better than the 90's Godzilla starring Ferris Bueller. But other than that, all's pretty well. Until next time.
