Dila slouches forward in his desk staring at the cuboid shapes on the clock as they slowly morph and trickle towards end of session. He then glances down at his work, a slew of mathematical problems he worked out based on the glimpses of his facilitators examples and snippets of information he held on to throughout the week are scrawled across the screen set into his desk. He doubts high level 4D math will be something he has to call upon much in his future, so he assumes it's good enough to get thru the slog. Lots of kids are still buried in their work, caring more than Dila or having a harder time faking it than him. His attention drifts to three known ner-do-wells all huddled together snickering over something. Their ring leader, Trodd, has a small pane device out under his desk and is obviously up to no good. Lore for slime toys I dream of making.

4 different species wage constant wars against each other for territory. Each having extraordinary abilities and minions to aid them.

A dark object fell upon this planet long ago (a shard of the X-Seed) and corrupted its civilized inhabitants. Generation after generation its effects slowly faded for those who didn't live near the overtly infected regions. For those within their power and desire for conquest grew.

Eventually a generation arose where the different civilized species of the planet squashed their beefs and came together to form an inescapable barrier around the infected zones along with a plan to draw in the crazed to their home regions before it goes up, leaving their twisted cousins to battle it out with each other instead of the rest of the world.

The Slime Wars are the battles that go on in the "infected zones" (I just can't throw 4 species into a battle arena setup without some reason so I went for one and it got out of hand, including plot lines going on outside the zone to ready for the day the Slime Wars combatants get fed up with fighting each other and find a way out).
