With the current development of AI, but also an increasing number of artists all over the internet, the chances of creating (unintended) similarities between artworks and thereby potential cases of plagiarism will increase. I will analyse the issue of similarity in art on the background of three principles from evolutionary biology and discuss some of the ethical issues, code of honour to respect fellow artists.
