Mimicry in art - when is it plagiarism?
With the current development of AI, but also an increasing number of artists all over the internet, the chances of creating (unintended) similarities between artworks and thereby potential cases of plagiarism will increase. I will analyse the issue of similarity in art on the background of three principles from evolutionary biology and discuss some of the ethical issues, code of honour to respect fellow artists. Know that the definition of these principles, like many definitions in science, are not tight categories with clear boundaries. They are not strictly black-and-white and neither are these principles mutually exclusive to a given situation.

Not-quite-goodbye: what I've been up to
I don't expect anyone to have actively missed me, but wanted to put something on the record in case anyone finds my account and wonders why I've disappeared. And why I still reply to most comments quickly regardless.
In summary: I only see 'notifications' in the form of comments, and will still check those almost every day (and reply if I can), but rarely visit my watch anymore, and spend most of my time doing other things than art to upload here.
My interests seem to have changed quite a bit over the past couple years. One of the biggest changes has been an intense urge to not sit behind my desk all day; and beside my job (which is a desk job, but one I love in no small part thanks to my colleagues), I've managed to do just that.
My laptop screentime has gone down from... virtually all my waking hours, to nearly zero. I still regularly check my phone, but most of my spare time is now spent catching up on some console games I've been wanting to play but couldn't until I got to
