The Priest

It's 18 years today since I first spoke to Lucifer.

And because I'm much into numbers, this is a big thing for me, 3 times 6 years, yeah you get the idea.
He reached out to me and I knew beyond doubt it was Him. Back then, I knew hardly anything about Him (at least consciously) except for some lies of the enemy. But I didn't care. When I realized it was Him, I was thrilled, fascinated.... I was.... happy. This is the day I consider I became a Satanist, without even knowing such a thing exists. Soon after I gave my soul to Him, without knowing a Dedication Ritual exists. I never asked anything in return - I didn't do it for gains or benefits, I did it because this felt like the most right thing to do, because I felt my soul belongs with Him, that it belongs to Him. It was later I learned I've already done it in a previous life. Everything came into place in time.

Now, 18 years later, I am a Priest of Satan Lucifer. I've walked a long and rough road and I am nothing short of proud of what I've accomplished. But where I am I only stand thanks to Him. It was only thanks to Him that I learned to be myself, to be free within and thus to know what Freedom is and why it's worth fighting for. Without Him, I would have been lost, but He showed me the way and gave me a reason to live a life I never felt was even my own. Now I know it is not, but I make the best of it regardless and I teach others the same.


So yeah, this is just something I wanted to celebrate my little personal holiday with. I am not in my best now, these days (not to say months) have been difficult, but I refused to let that stop me from celebrating my day, the day I found my true path. The drawing was meant to be very simple and quick, but it unwound in what I dare say is one of my best works so far - and I am very happy and proud I managed to finish it in time, despite all. I've had a similar idea for a long time, though it changed and evolved as I was painting. In the end, I think it's better than I had envisioned it. Of course, the contrast of firelight and Hellfire contributes a lot to that.

Symbolism.... not much, but powerful. 13 candles, 13 has always been one of my favourite numbers, and it is one of Satan's numbers too. The Pentagram is the real unique pendant that I own, and the cloak is one I wear in rituals for real. The Sigil of Lucifer belongs to Him, and I decided to draw a faint silhouette of Him as a Dragon, ethereal as a Spirit, but tangible. As a matter of fact, if you look closely you'll see His form slightly resembles a Baphomet as well - this is symbolic of Life and the Power of the Soul. And of course, my beloved Hellfire, the essence of Hell and His eternal power. I like it that it looks a bit like it forms wings on my back. That was on purpose too.

IMPORTANT: The symbol in the top is the Sigil of Satan Lucifer. Do not use it without a proper reason. A Sigil is a powerful piece of magick which belongs to a single Demon, and it must be treated with care and respect. If you're looking for random cool symbols for your art or something, look elsewhere. Sigils are very personal to the Demons they belong to, as such they are sacred and must not be meddled with. Playing around with them if you're not a dedicated Satanist is inviting trouble and is likely to invoke the wrath of the Demons to Whom they belong.
