Skamtinden's winter grace

So we arrived at the feet of Brosmetinden, just before the road dives into the Rekvik valley.
It was suddenly winter now, the land powdered in fresh snow, but once again bathed in sunlight.
I couldn't have wished for a more beautiful day for this hike.... or so I thought.

We left the hrududu on the small parking by the road and started climbing Brosmetinden.


View from the feet of Brosmetinden south to the northern Ersfjorden mountains.
The valley ahead is Rekvikdalen, the nearby slope to the left is the feet of Rundheia.
The sharp snowy peak with a cliff on its right side is Storstolpen (977 m).
A small part of the Stolpan ridge is visible right next to it, to the left.
The range that follows is the ridge connecting the Hollendaren mountains and Skamtinden.
The dark "two-headed" cliff protruding from the slope next is called Finnkjerka (685 m).
The last in the line is Skamtinden (882 m), the very peak is hidden only just by the cloud.
