Description
The g in Lyngen is softened roughly into y from the English "yes".
The name of the mountain range is pronounced roughly as "lynn-yen".
A bit further away down the road now on the east side of Southern Lyngsfjella, there are some farms, by the look of it, huddled under quite impressive, albeit different mountains. Some of those mountains were incredibly steep and high, so much so that photography can scarcely convey the feeling of standing in their feet.
This is road along the eastern coast of Southern Lyngsfjella, in the area of Oksvik.
The view is west towards the easternmost mountainside of the Southern Lyngen Alps.
The high plateau on the left is Oksefjellet, which is the ascend to Kvalvikfjellet.
The waterfall is one of several river that jump off the steep side of the plateau.
The next part of the mountain is the northern descend of Oksfjellet, far not as steep.
The tall snowy mountain behind is Kavringtinden (1 289 m), part of Kvalvikfjellet too.
Behind Oksfjellet on the right edge, the descend of Kjostindane is still visible.
