The g in Lyngen is softened roughly into y from the English "yes".
The name of the mountain range is pronounced roughly as "lynn-yen".
The autumn was at its best, and the way it paints these fjord shores is astonishing. Truly there is no greater artist than Nature.

Kjosen or Isfjord as we call it, is a branch of Ullsfjorden, between the two parts of Lyngen.
On the right is Tytebærtinden (1 177 m), towering above the glade we stand on.
On the left, is part of the mountain range on the other side of the fjord.
The one with the wide flat snowy peak is the mountain Rørnesfjellet (1 255 m).
Its ridge stretches further slong the fjord towards the last in line - Rørnestinden (1 041 m).
