Description

The ø (resp. oe) is not an o, it actually doesn't have an English analogue.
It's roughly a combination between the vowels in birch and book.

Climbing Trehørningen was not an easy task. For one reason mostly: I could never decide which way to look. So much beauty around, it almost felt overwhelming.
There is something really eye-pleasing about the tiny gnarly trees with astonising golden foliage. Before I went, Jayme had told me how these little trees captivate him despite their tiny size.
I am completely addicted to large, majestic trees as those who grow here in the temperate mountains. But I have to agree with him.... there is something special about these little buddies.
It is amazing how they survive and thrive in this harsh land.

Though admittedly.... how could you even believe such a beautiful land can be harsh.

View to the west from the southern slope of Trehørningen with the road throgh Lyfjorddalen.
In the distance, part of the northern Kaldfjorden is visible, with Storefjellet (560 m) to the left.
Beyond Kaldfjorden, to the right is Rundkollen (522 m), and in the valley that separates it from the rest is the road to Grøtfjorden.
The very distant peak peering through the valley might even be from Ramnberget (743 m), from the far side of Grøtfjorden.
The other mountains are respectively Storholten (677 m) to the right and Orvasstinden (980) to the left, partially behind Storefjellet.
Even a small part of the snow-covered slopes of Storeblåmann (1 044 m) are visible peering from behind Orvasstinden.

02.10.2018, Trehørningen (283 m).
