Description
The ø (resp. oe) is not an o, it actually doesn't have an English analogue.
It's roughly a combination between the vowels in birch and book.
The last glimpse to Kaldfjorden from this height was already turning into blue twilight.
The light over the ocean to the west outlined the mountain silhouettes in a spectacular way.
Truly something to remember.
View from Treørningen towards Kaldfjorden and the mountains beyond.
Only very small part of Kaldfjorden and Lyfjord bay is still visible from here.
The dark cliffy massif to the left is Storefjellet (560 m).
Beyond are the mountains on the west side of Kaldfjorden. Right to left:
The first two mountains visible are beyond Grøtfjorden, the nearly hidden one is Sørtinden (724 m).
The higher, rather rounded one that seems merged with the rest is actually Ramnberget (743 m).
The one on its left is Storholten (677 m) with the Bondslettskaret saddle-like valley next to it.
To the left left, the second biggest and peaky massif of Orvasstinden (980 m) and Breitinden (963 m).
Then Storeblåmann (1 044 m), part of its cliffwall visible, while the peak as always hidden in the clouds.
Behind it, is the massif of Buren (802 m), with the jagged cliff wall of Rødtinden also well visible here.
02.10.2018, Trehørningen (283 m).
