2022 Summary

2022 came and went before I could catch a breath. In hindsight, not all bad and I am certainly glad I've managed to pull as much art as I did. It felt all hectic and all over the place (and very scant), but in the end of the day, while scattered, I still did a lot of things. In the middle of rather severe burnout, I think that's a good enough accomplishment.

January - Satan Lucifer - Finally made this portrait after I've wanted for a long long time. In full color, too.
February - Elephants - Some gift art for good measure.
March - Anna - This is another Vladeraș year, as is visible from some art that pops up here and there. In truth I draw more, I have sketches all over the place, but whether or not they'll reach the public space is unclear. In any case, I write quite intensely and I am enjoying it.
April - Glimpse - The Joker was an experience. I may draw more.
May - Last Glimpse - As I said, Vladeraș. I really, really enjoy writing.
June - Seth portrait - I met Seth for the first time, and commemorated the event with a drawing. It was a quick portrait, but still nice to have.
July - Fox - This year saw a lot of spur-of-the-moment quick arts. Some turned out not as quick, I am glad I could do at least as much.
August - Indreen - Finally a proper portrait of Indreen as well.
September - Faith - Another gift art, for my friend and colleague.
October - Castle Brennenburg - As of October, I started down a dark journey. This quick painting merely commemorates it. It will remain deep in my memory, less with the quick art, far more with the experience.
November - Zodiac Signs - Yep, I am working on a new project of spiritual lore, and while writing I decided why not make a ton of new art of my own because I have too much free time (?!). Because classical art just doesn't quite cut it. I will show the art, later perhaps the writing as well, but in any case, here's a glimpse. My Sign.
December - Karren'Rex - Traditional last-days-of-the-year arts which happens because I am not working and have a bit more space for my own creativity. Every year. This portrait happened 3 days ago all of a sudden, but instantly reserved a space on the summary because it's just that significant and important to me. Finally, after all these years, a proper portrait of Karren'Rex. It's something to remember.

So this has been my 2022 year. Difficult year, it passed before I could know, I don't remember well most of it. Art may not be as shiny and juicy as it used to be, but I think it keeps improving. I am just not trying to show off so much - I try to do it more efficiently instead, it makes it easier to realize more ideas without it being so intimidating to start each new piece. I am also currently building skills that will pay off later. Especially the landscape painting skills. It may take some time though. No, it certainly will. But in the end, as always, it just reflects my life quite very accurately.... You wanna know about me, just look at my art, it's pretty much all in there.
