Moderator Positions Open
We Are In Need Of:
General Mods (Duties are finding and adding appropriate material to the gallery, approving/denying submissions and responding to comments)
Right now I am the only person running LR, and with all the other groups I have/help with, it's a little overwhelming. I need someone who can regularly search for appropriate stock and add it to the gallery, along with reviewing and approving/denying submissions. Moderators will not be allowed to approve their own submissions to prevent bias. You'll be allowed to submit things (actually, I highly encourage it!), but another mod will have to double-check it and approve it.
Ideally, I'm looking for 2 or 3 people to become moderators, but if that is not enough people to sufficiently spread out the workload I will accept more.
If you are interested in helping out, please send me or the group a NOTE with the following information:
Experience: (What kind of experience, if any, you've had moderating groups on deviantART?)
How often you'll be able to mod: (daily, weekly, monthly...?)
Approx. how many hours a week total: (How many hours a week you think you can put into your modding job?)
Why you're interesting in modding: (I think this one is self-explanatory)
Thank you everyone for helping make this blossoming, young group a success!
New Rule + New Decline Policy, Please Read!
Dear LR Members and Submitters, It has been our policy in the past to inform submitters as to why each and every particular image was declined, but due to the sheer number of clearly inappropriate submissions per day this is no longer a feasible course of action for our staff. We will no longer be commenting on every declined image with the reason why that submission was declined or list what rule(s) it is in violation of. If the submission is in obvious violation of our clearly-stated rules, for example, if it contains a man-made structure like a house blatantly in the foreground, it will be declined without comment from this moment on. I
Images/artwork taken from dA and hosted as stock:
I was asked by a member of our group to share this information. A blogger has taken a massive amount of images from deviantART, edited out the signatures/watermarks, and hosted them on their blog as free stock without the artists' consent. For more information, please see this journal: :thumb326186760:
Best members ever!
I just wanted to give a huge thank you to those of you who have been submitting to the group. You have done an absolutely wonderful job of making sure your submissions are in the correct folder, and that makes the submission process a whole lot easier for us! I'd also like to apologize for those submissions that have expired recently. If your submission expires, please feel free to resubmit! Thanks so much  -Ashzoi (https://www.deviantart.com/ashzoi)
Gallery Content Poll: Members Please Vote
Hello everyone! I was considering adding a folder for Inspirational Painted Landscapes (digital or traditional) to the Group's Gallery. I tried to find an active Group that was for images like that, but so far I have lucked out on that search. :( I watch a handful of phenomenal landscape artists who inspire me so much but get so little recognition, I thought perhaps I could make a folder for that type of work here. It really opens your artistic eye to see how others go about painting their work, and I would love to open that kind of door here. All the stock you need, with a good dose of inspiration! ;P But of course, that decision won
