Thank you for replying! My dream job one day is to be a concept artist, but I still have a lot of practice to do yet, so you are my inspiration! Do you have any advice on how to get better with realism?
I took a look in your gallery, and I'd say this: your drawing skills are pretty good; I've met quite a few concept artists whose skill level matches yours. If that's really the path you want to take though, you need to branch out. Draw some vehicles, monsters, environments, etc. You'll also need to get some painting skills under your belt.
Request - Shiaichi is the piece that has the most realistic-ish feel in your gallery, and it's still pretty cartoony. Do some digital still lifes where you try to match the lighting with reality. Do some fabric and fruits studies. Sounds boring but it will teach you.
Ah wow thank you for taking the time to look at my gallery! I really appreciate your feedback . Ah really? That's reassuring to know! I always thought that companies would only hire people that are at your skill level. Thank you for the suggestions of what to study more of, I'll start practicing drawing those! I'm definitely going to start doing more real life studies. I've relied too much on line art in the past, so I'm trying to break out of it and get more realistic with how I paint. Ah it doesn't sound boring at all! I enjoy doing studies
Once again thank you so much for giving me your advice! I have an idea on what to work on now, thank you
