A tutorial for all of you whom may need a bit of help in Japanese-style handle wrapping. Recommended for cosplay swords.

EDIT: I made a revised version of this tutorial, which includes how to tie the ending knot. It can be found here.

I'm making a cosplay version of Wabisuke from Bleach, so this is really helpful, because the handle has the diamond pattern wrapping like this.

Thank you so much! The other tutorials on the net are so confusing.
But do you think this sword of wrapping would work with silk instead of cloth tape?

HUGE thanks for making this. I've been searching for tutorial on the traditional tsukamaki, but hadn't found it yet.

I'm definately going to use this on my next sword!

Could you post a tutorial on how to do a tutorial? Yes this is a serious question. You do a very good one.

Thats a really good question.. I suppose most of it would it just tips though. But, I'll consider about it. If I get the spare time, I might try doing it. ;)

Its traditional handle wrapping, after all. Nothing gets better than the original thing. ;)
