I've been on DA for 11 years now - and maybe it's that amount of time that's been preventing me from really stepping away, or the fact that there really isn't a good art-focused alternative. But I think yesterday's update was the last straw. DeviantArt has been so out of touch with its community it would be funny, if it wasn't inconveniencing everyone every step of the way. With Eclipse, they took away a plethora of useful features, and instead of working on bringing them back, all they have been doing were half-baked projects like Chat (meant to replace notes for some reason but still broken as of now), Subscriptions (A feature that people either do not use because Patreon works better for them, or use and have alienated some of their watchers through because their watch feed is now filled with subscriber-only deviations, as DA has not introduced a way to hide those afaik), and now an AI generator with a set of data that appears to have been scraped from DA and other image sites
