Zinc was sauntering along rusted railroad tracks when he saw the comet; it fell overhead, like a rocket, banishing the night in its wake. He watched, stunned, as it darted across the sky, before disappearing among the canopy of the nearby forest, leaving Zinc in a fresh veil of shadows, and a fading trail of sparkles in the night sky.        After several seconds of freaking out over what he had just witnessed, the night was roused again--this time, by a dull boom.        Zinc yelped.
