I take breaks, I use Twitter, and sometimes it cost so much energy to follow and read and watch... and some people are only there for drama... They get angry because they only get 4 likes and somebody else gets 100 likes, and then they hate that person, because other people don't have a good taste for art bla bla bla..
That's cool I have a FB but I never use it. I think I have a twitter, and a tumblr which was required for a game I play but I've never logged into my twitter past that. Tumblr I think I've been on 3 times. I can't stand social media sites. Technically speaking this counts as one but and I use this one all the time since 2005. Its the only place I can be steadily found. I like taking internet/tech breaks too. I like being outside more. For a while there I was binge watching tv because we had no money and realized even though I had a clean house, a job, and such I felt drained from wasting time in front of a screen. I think I feel less tired when I've been on the constant go and I've been working or busy all day. I know I feel less drain and more accomplished. Its odd how tech has that time consuming tiring feel too it. I like your idea, I go hiking up in the mountains. I'm not a photographer but I wish I had a camera so I could take pictures out my favorite spots so I could draw them. I always had a dream to have my fashion/costumes photographed up in the winter mountain pass, but I don't think that'll ever happen... XD
It may not be impossible to do such a photoshoot as you mention. The trick would be to form a confederation of like minded people who have a part to contribute. You have the clothes, so you need the model, then the photographer. Many photographers who are good hobbyists, or beginning to assemble a portfolio, will jump at the chance to shoot with a model. Same with models, or maybe just social media mavens who want some really good photos for their media accounts. It would take some work though, and a willingness to put yourself out there and instigate things.
I don't know if it's really "tech breaks" that I take... but I do often take breaks from social media when I'm too mentally exhausted to deal with it. I just don't log in. I have been trying to get off the internet more though. I've been practicing my sewing on projects that need mending, reading, and going outside since it's warmed up. There are a few other hobbies I want to get back into as well, and they probably will be good alternatives for getting online.
I count that! I am the same with you. I have been on a lot lately and have been finding it hard since I've been doing world building research. I find myself reading a lot online but also getting distracted and stuck on here at times. Take pictures and show me what you come up with! I would love to have a sewing buddy!
