So do you remember those polls I put out about being part of another persons process? Well since I am learning digital art I am opening my first real piece up to you guys for live feedback and potential direction. I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas. I posted in a status around 10pm to get the motion started, but I will link it here as well for sake of ease.

The image I will be working on is this:

sta.sh/29qxqc0rwqn?edit=1

I will probably post up a poll with a few possible color schemes. I have a few ideas in sta.sh but they aren't completely settled on. I will come up with more ideas and let you guys know when I have a better idea on them.

I hope to see you around!

ETA: I have posted up a poll for potential color schemes. If you are interested in helping with the direction of this piece please check it out!

It's a pretty drawing, I'm sure it'll look even better when finished :D

Thank you, I made that in high school. I really wanted to do it in digital so that's why I never colored it or any of my other images. A lot of people ask me why I leave me images lacking, and I've even been told they are boring without color but I had a huge motive in mind all along so. I know a lot of people leave lineart and sketches pretty unfinished for the computer side of things.

That makes sense. I sometimes do that too.
I recently started playing around more with colored pencils to make my sketches more interesting, but it can be harder to edit than a black and white drawing (I upload pictures of my drawings instead of scans).

The key, I found, in colored pencil is to treat it a bit like ink and learn to work around mistakes. While colored pencil can erase to an extent, using my inking line of thought helps fix those. I'll have to load up some of my crappy pen art sometime and show you where the mistakes occurred and how I hid them. Then I could show you how to kind of hide them better in colored pencil work, if your interested. I might be a while though, since I don't have our shared phone and I don't have a scanner.

That sounds interesting. If you get the chance, I think I would like to learn more about that.
I also bought washi tape a bit ago to add interest to my sketches in other ways. I'm not always sure I'm using it correctly, but it's fun :)

Sounds good I will put in on my to-do in my sta.sh file. Also I think washi-tape can be used however you like lol. I used to work at joann and people use it for everything. That sounds cool though I want to see it when your finished.
