I can't believe that Demon Hunter's first album came out in 2002. I feel sooooooo old. I've been with them since the beginning. There literally isn't one song that I do not like. I love them all equally. I love the feeling they have in there music. I always got the impression that there was a story to tell. A legend unfolding. I would love it if they came to Utah (I'm sure they have already), and I could actually afford to go see them. That would seriously be the highlight of my life right there. I don't typically track concerts though since I can't afford those ventures.
I never thought losing a roof over your head and having been split apart from my family could have been the biggest blessing in my life.
Its true we've been poor for 80% of my life, but its not so bad. It never has been that bad. I have a great appreciation for what I have and
I make every day the best that I can. Its true I'm depressed often but I'm willing to go forth and try hard to change the circumstances in my life.
After growing up and watch my family struggle and even with money management, I've learned a great many things. One of which is If I don't have the money I won't by it.
Its better to be square than in debt or owe someone. I often wonder though how I'm going to be able to break the cycle of poverty though.
I've found that in life in order to make money you must have the money to invest. This goes hand in hand and does not exclude education.
Sure there are grants and financial aid out there if your willing to look hard and work for them but it can also be hard to pay for school even then.
You can't put a price on education but we obviously have to as a society in order for those taking the time out of there day to teach us to make their money to feed their families.
Education is for a life time and no one can tell you how to think or what you believe,
they may control what comes from your mouth if you live in a country where you may be killed for vocalizing a thought, but they can't take away whats in your heart or head.
And for this I am grateful...
This whole experience just keeps adding to the way I feel about education.
I am very sad though that I'm having a difficult time meeting my needs as an individual being out of a job and almost on the street but only I can change that.
This road has proven to be tough. And I guess All that I can pray for and aspire to do can happen with diligence and time.

My Boyfriend made a successful fix on my singer machine. He even tuned it up. It is running like a dream!
I must say I'm very happy, also happy to have him around because he is so talented! He was happy with the experience too.
He said thank you for letting him at least try, because he was able to learn so much form a new machine he had no experience with.
He was very excited to add sewing machines to his list of know-how-to-fix!
He also had said that he was impressed with how wonderfully made the machine was, and was also impressed with how long it had lasted and how well I'd taken care of it!
It means I'm doing something right! Whats even more exciting is now I'm finally the proud owner of a singer serger! Finally!!!
I've used them a lot over the year but never had one of my own!

My Singer 1120 has had some minor problems that I've been fixing up here and there for the last few years. Granted that my machine is how old now? Like 7 or 8 years old. Laughing; I really love it. It is a basic machine and has been great for when I first started learning how to sew in 2005-2006. It has been wonderful to me as I grew in experience and has a great simple layout that has made working with it fast. Its ability to sew light to medium weight fabrics is great. But its okay with heavy. Has a lot of good functions for the experienced sewer and seems to not really lack a whole lot. Overall I was really happy with my machine.
It was a couple years back about 2009-2010 that I really noticed it having some problems. I think the timing was off. The tension was wonky were re-threading and adjusting the tension knob would not work. The bobbin and shuttle seem fine but the needle doesn't seem to stay on its correct movement path and from time to time hits the shuttle, cuts the thread and skips stitches. It may be as easy as replacing the lower assembly or it may not. I've taken excellent care of the machine. I oil it when it's needed dust it and wash the plate and covers. I don't know how long it will be out of commission for repairs. We may have to take it in.
I will not have a machine for a while so any projects I'm working on may not be completed on time for Halloween. But we will see my boyfriend is excellent with mechanics. I works with a lot of computers and has rebuilt a car before. Even though he's never worked with a machine like this he has confidence that he can fix it. This prospect looks really good, since cars and sewing machines have a lot of similarities from what I, myself can tell.
