Can I ask you, what lens do you use?

:iconladyrapid:
ladyrapid Featured By Owner Mar 23, 2011  Professional Photographer
Of course. I use the Sigma 10-20/4.0-5.6 EX. A pretty sturdy lens, good build quality and over all a decent wide choice if you don't have the money for the better ones as the 16-35 2.8 and so forth.
If you're in the thoughts of buying one I'd check the used market directly, no need to buy it new when the build quality is so good (as sigma is known for in their middle/top segment).

You should be able to get one for around $450

Thanks you for such a comprehensive response. I am saving some money on a new lens and this one looks pretty good. 16-35/2.8 is a dream wich I hope will come true one day :D

You really have some nice metro stations in Sweden. And I really like how you capture them.

A great shot. Really nice colours. But I have one question. Does anyone use escalators in Malmö/Sweden? I remember that I have seen another picture of you even without any poeople on it. How do you arrange that? I'm really interested in your answer even if the question is maybe stupid?!

B-)

Sorry, forgot to add. Then again, sometimes I'm doing a regular shooting, a non long exposure shot, and then I need to wait for it to be cleared in order to be able to take the shot. Sometimes you wait for 1 min and sometimes 1 hour.. the rules of the game.

Thanks for the answer. Of course long time exposure is a solution! Anyway nice shots in your gallery!

Most of the time I do longer exposures when I shoot the escalators, that way you won't ever see anybody in frame. Plus I think it's a pretty cool way of working around with the sets since they're always just packed with people. It creates a different way of using the artform to show the more clean way of architecture rather than with people.

So yes, we use them all the time it's just me who work around it to show more clean architecture.
