They call her Domina Crudelitatem, Imperatrix Atrox, Dominatrix Mortem, Reginam Mortis--"Lady Cruelty".  They say she's been around since time began, since the first Egyptians built the mastabas that would form the great pyramids at Giza.  They say that her pale pink eyes will lay a curse on your soul if you offend her, that she lives forever and never forgets, that she wears the fangs of her greatest enemy on her own mouth, drilled into her gums, as a symbol of her triumph over him.  They say her horns have slain whole cities, and that sometimes she dons the skins of her slain foe, and wears their horns on top of her own like a crown.  They say she has never lost a battle, nor horn nor tooth; woe befall you should she come into your dreams, cursed are those who speak to her, and may you praise your Lord should her path never cross yours.  They say death follows her where she walks and her hooves sour the ground she trods; they say that she spreads plague, frozen winds, and inferno in an ever-widening triangle behind her.  They say that she will approach you and you will not know who she is and what she has done to you until it is too late and she has gone, and you die.  They say she can make blood boil with a flick of her tail, that round her neck she wears the fangs of slain Ballator who wronged her in some way, that she eats only flesh, and they say she is evil, and no one has ever escaped her.

Heartless, evil, sadistic, cruel, absolutely no sense of humor, nasty, incredibly dangerous. She will seem perfectly harmless, even friendly and unassuming, when you first meet her. She then leaves with a mysterious smile and wishes you well, and it's only when those determined to hunt her down and kill her ask where she went that you learn that THAT was The Imperiatrix, the cold-blooded killer who, should you so much as look at her, will hunt you down and murder you in your dreams. They say that if you meet her you should run home, hide your family, nail your door shut at all corners after hanging a string in the shape of a noose from it, drink nothing but the blood of a ram, turn out all the lights, put a sprig of yew under your pillow, and pray that these measures will keep her from finding you in your sleep.
But it doesn't work.
She shows no mercy, she cares for no one. She's older than time itself, and she cannot be killed. Even her children fear her, for she abandons them at birth and sometimes will not so much as give them a name, and she if they cannot survive on their own, they don't deserve to live, in her eyes. She will exist forever, and she, the harbringer of death, mistress of the plague, god of gore, will never leave, and will always be watching you.

History:
They say that when she was born man still used weapons made of stone, which would imply that she was born in the Stone Age 3.5 million years ago. The most common theory of her origin is that she's been around since the beginning of civilization, migrating with the growth of culture through Ancient Mesopotamia. It's theorized that she was born in the Lower Paleolithic period, and followed the Neolithic cultures from the Samarran area of her origins to ancient Sumer, then to the Akkadian Empire, then the Early Assyrian Empire, then to the Early Babylonian Empire, before finally settling in Pre-Dynastic Ancient Egypt, where she made her stay until it fell to Alexander the Great, whose death she was solely responsible for and is quite proud of. She follows society wherever she can, because her only purpose is to plague mankind with murder and death. She's been around since ancient times and lives on today, currently residing in the States, where she wanders around the most rural parts, only occasionally making her way into cities to commit mass murders, since she prefers a quite path of slaughter without police crawling all over her the minute afterwards. It's speculated she can transform into a human woman. This leads many to believe that she's not actually a Ballator, but a demon in the form of a ballator. Rumors abound that she is the child of a desert mare as vicious as she, and death itself.
She's had several notorious Ballator rivals in her day, all of whom she has killed in battle, and she wears their fangs around her neck on a string made from sinews. She also had the fangs of her greatest mortal enemy, a Plains Ballator, cut off and drilled into her gums, which she wears proudly now that she's murdered him. She also keeps the skins and horns of her Ballator murders, though where she keeps them, no one knows.
