June: New Chapters
[DEVIATION]
Welcome to June!
First, Happy Pride Month to those who celebrate. 🫶
The year is flying by and I cannot believe it is already June. I am excited to see what things develop moving forward. The most exciting news is the progression of my novel, Life of Shadows. For those following and have not heard yet, it is going to be published! My book was accepted by Dorrance Publishing. It cannot be understated how excited and thrilled I am for this. I was also informed it will be published as a two-part novel series, so stayed tuned for any additional news. If anyone is interested, I have chapters available to read in my premium gallery for now. I am eager to officially move forward with this beloved ongoing project.
I have submitted the cover art, author information, and part one of the book as of last week, so I am eager to see it come together. I have been working on a new revision to the original story I wrote by hand way back in 1996, crafted yet another draft in 2002 and then

May: Positive Community Fire
[DEVIATION]
Welcome to May!
This month is a special time for me, since I celebrate my devious anniversary on the twenty-sixth. It will be twenty-one years here and I still find this mind boggling. I never forgot how I started and what special paths I took to get to this point. I do not take any of it for granted— and cherish all the moments, lessons and blessings. I recall with fondness the many friends I have made and my supporters who stayed close by. I smile at the memories of the excitement I felt discovering some new writers and also the enjoyment I experienced doing features. The love, gratitude, and beautiful spirit of the literature community remains despite several changes over the years.
I often cite and celebrate the long but rewarding road it took for me to get here. I still remember waking up early on the morning of June first, 2010— seeing I had been awarded devious as a extraordinarily special thank you for my commitment as a community volunteer during the earlier
